Mia Salinas is a 16-year-old high school junior with a deep passion for politics and a strong drive to make her voice heard. As the founder of Policy With A Punch, she brings years of personal experience in political journaling, along with a commitment to fostering meaningful, youth-led political discourse. Mia is an active member of her school’s speech and debate team, competes in track and field, goes to art school, and aspires to become a lawyer. Her love for critical thinking, advocacy, and impactful writing fuels everything she does, whether it be on and off the page. A fun fact about Mia is that she LOVES cats!

Hello everyone, my name is Maegen! I’m 16 years old and I am thrilled to be a part of policywithapunch. I’m deeply passionate about medicine and I hope to combine that interest with politics as a writer. Outside of school I’m a big reader who also loves to draw and do crafts, as well as read comics and do puzzles. However, when you read my writing, I hope you will look past my intriguing name and really see that my writing comes from a place of passion and concern for our modern society and world.
