June Issue Comes out 6/30!

Coachella. An annual music festival for the ages, filled with beloved famous artists that light up California’s
desert skies. This year’s Coachella had a stacked line-up, including hit artists like Lady Gaga, Green Day,
Charli XCX, Post Malone, and more.
In particular, 26 year old indie artist Clairo performed a beautiful set list on April 13, 2025. Clairo’s setlist
would include hit songs Flaming Hot Cheetos, Amoeba, and Juna. She would also hit the stage with a
gorgeous sheer lace top and dreamy pink drapes embodying the essence of Coachella.
Clairo, alongside other artists, brought various guests that would shock the crowd. Fan favorites of Billie
Eilish and Lorde, Brian May, and other influential figures would shape this year’s Coachella. But Clairo’s next
guest brought a shift in energy, turning the stage from a space of lighthearted fun to one of reflection and
gravity.
Who, you might ask? Bernie Sanders, the 83-year-old senator from Vermont, who delivered remarks
powerful enough to set tumbleweeds dancing in Coachella’s desert.
Bernie Sanders has been in the political spotlight for several years now, being a strong activist toward
fighting oligarchy and promoting economic, racial, social, and environmental justice for all. He also ran for U.S. president in 2020, championing bold policies to cut carbon emissions, provide universal free education,
and ensure accessible healthcare for all.
Sanders’ devotion toward politics and a passion for accessibility is highlighted in his profound speech today. He urged the young audience to take initiative against the injustices happening in America today.
"The future of what happens to America is dependent
upon your generation."
"Now you can turn away and you can ignore what goes
on, but if you do that, you do it at your own peril…We
need you to stand up to fight for justice. To fight for
economic justice, social justice and racial justice."
Bernie Sanders’ fight for change at a music festival might seem out of place, but in today’s political climate,
taking action wherever possible is crucial. When multiple senators and public figures across the U.S. are calling for change, it’s a sign to the youth that this isn’t just a passing moment or some old guy rambling at Coachella.
It’s a wake-up call. One that could shape your future.
